Utility is a collaboration between designers and makers, linking services and ideas to make well thought–through bespoke interior space that is inspiring, appropriate, made resourcefully and well, and a pleasure to use.
We work with individuals, businesses, public institutions and arts organisations as well as acting as consultants to architects and developers; we do feasibility, planning, detail design, furniture, job–running and cost management, discussing the scope and tailoring the team to suit the person and the site.
Amanda Culpin formed Utility in 1999, previously worked at Sheppard Robson Architects and Conran&Partners on commercial, health, education and hotel projects, has lived and worked in France, Australia and Chile, and teaches at The Interior Design School.
