Interior planning, furniture and art for long-stay apartments in a converted city-centre office building for corporate clients, designed to be anything but. Each one arranged to live in, not just pass through, with its own collection of furniture, textiles, prints, books on the shelf and conveniently-stocked kitchens; as familiar and comfortable as home.

Working with the client, the developer and the operator, all with different perspectives, we looked at the options to arrive at a design concept and furniture shortlist to meet commercial criteria and budget, capable of withstanding heavy use and continued cleaning, and finally available within a fixed timescale. A mix of brands, styles and materials gives these apartments an at-home feel, complemented by a final layer of original paintings and limited edition prints, domestic lighting and custom textiles.

One of a series of projects with Native Places to update their portfolio of existing properties and develop new, with longevity, ease of maintenance and future modification guiding the design.
